Two days ago, along with my great friend Tina I reached the summit of Mt Elbrus, the highest volcano in Europe! This concludes a 5.5-month journey across seven continents to raise funds for research into and awareness of oesophageal cancer. As far as I know, this is an unofficial world record.
There have been ups and downs, fun as well as stress along the way, but in the end the Cancer Research UK banner was flown from the highest volcano on each continent in the fastest time to date. A gigantic THANK YOU to the project sponsors, friends, family and supporters for all your encouragement these past five months – it made every breathless, exhausted step so much easier.. 🙂
